Rocky Road Touring is a boutique booking agency committed to building and sustaining long term success for its artists.

Joady Harper created the company in 2010 while based in Brooklyn NY. Her career began in England – while known by her maiden name Joady Thornton – beginning in PR and then moving on to work as a promoter for the Mean Fiddler (now Festival Republic). While booking London venue The Garage, she soon became the only female tour promoter in the UK with sold out Brixton Academy shows for Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Babyshambles. Thereafter graduating to booking stages for Reading/Leeds and Homelands Festivals. In 2006, she set off to live in New York to become the talent buyer for Studio B in Brooklyn and then subsequently The Annex in the lower east side. After doing a stint in artist management, Joady worked for Entourage Talent Agency before founding Rocky Road Touring.

Andrew Harper joined the agency shortly thereafter, bringing many years of experience in the US live market. Originally from Houston TX, Andrew began promoting DIY shows at age 15 in recreation centers and all ages venues. After re-locating to Los Angeles, he founded The Volume Agency in 2005, helping to launch the live career of Teenage Bottlerocket, booking a pioneer of electronic music – Doc Martin, and managing hard rock act Young Heart Attack. After stints in producer management and music licensing, Harper moved to New York and joined the love of his life, Joady, who would also become his future wife.

Rocky Road Touring has established a burgeoning roster of unique acts and developed strong ties with promoters across North America, Europe, South America, Australia and Asia. We pride ourselves on being able to develop the careers of young bands and have a proven record of revitalizing those of career artists.

The staff at RRT have extensive experience in tour budgeting, accounting, tax compliance, production, and visa/immigration affairs.

Rocky Road Touring does not subscribe to the “one size fits all,” approach to booking and believes that each band or artist has very individual requirements. Each tour is tailored very specifically to support the needs of the client. Now based in New Orleans, RRT continues to serve the careers of its artists each and every day.
